Gift#3 Hatch your eggs
While you birth a dream, remember to hatch it.
In my garden, I found a nest with a pretty pink egg and white specks. Delighted, every day I waited for the egg to hatch. Its been 2 months. I guess the nest has been abandoned.
According to Wikipedia, 17% of all eggs are not hatched. Sometimes, mother bird realises the egg is not fertile and abandons the nest.
Gift #3. Hatch your dreams.
An egg is not hatched when it is laid, but when you see legs. Of little chicks and their pretty feet. And wings to soar to the sky.
What is causing you to abandon your egg?
- Is it fear of the unknown?
Lack of skills? Resources?
Objections? - Boredom?
- Lack of recognition?
- Moving on to the next hottest thing?
There’s an interesting website I chanced upon called 5 things God uses to grow your faith:
- Practical teaching – Build your foundation
- Providential Relationships
- Private discipline
- Personal gifts and gifting to serve others
- Pivotal circumstances
“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan Press On! has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”
― Calvin Coolidge
The heights by great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight, but they, while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night. – Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
How dull it is to pause, to make an end,
To rust unburnished, not to shine in use!
As though to breathe were life!
Incidentally, Christians celebrate Easter because the empty shell represents an empty tomb of a risen Christ.
Happy Easter.
